In the beginning of 2017, I was thinking through ways that I could provide some type of help or encouragement to my brides, in addition to being their trusty wedding photographer, that they would really appreciate. Because I feel strongly that having a solid marriage, filled with love, joy, fun, passion, romance, incredible memories, etc., etc. is so important (even more important than all that fun wedding planning!), God gave me the idea to pass along some of the things I’ve learned in my time of being married, as little tidbits to hopefully help others. Most of these things I have learned through the school of hard knocks, so, let’s be honest, I am certainly no marriage expert, nor do I claim to be! But, I do feel confident that I have learned some of the basic things that can assist a newly married couple in building the marriage of their dreams. And I really do believe that, however much time you are spending planning your dream wedding, you need to be spending even more time preparing to have a great marriage! Gasp! I know! More to do?! I’m serious though! Being married is so awesome, but it really does take a lot of work to keep it awesome, otherwise it naturally floats off into chaos….

So anyway, back to early 2017…I thought it would be fun to give these tips an official name and set an expectation on when they would be delivered, so I landed on Marriage Tip Monday. I ended up writing 15 of them on Mondays and then…the business got busier and busier and I just dropped it! Yikes! I’m sorry! I do have my own marriage and kid to look after, after all, so the Monday Marriage Tips got put on the back burner – womp womp. Maybe they will get resurrected? I’m not sure. BUT, for all of my new brides, I thought I would at least resurrect them here in case you happen to enjoy them as well! The links to each are below.

Can you do something for me? If you find one that really speaks to you, can you just leave a little comment and let me know? I’d love to hear from you and see what folks like or are helped by the most. “Give the people what they want!”, as my friend Jackie always says 🙂 So….here you go!
