How many people can say they met the love of their life in first grade?! Not many and I think it’s incredibly special!! Emily and Brandon grew up knowing each other but it was until middle school that they started becoming friends. In high school they dated other people before they dated each other, but Emily says it served a great purpose because they learned the hard lessons from others – I couldn’t agree more! But once they finally started dating during their last semester of high school it was all over! They remained together all throughout college, including a transfer from one school to another, and the month before they graduated Brandon proposed by the pond of her grandfather’s farm! And after crying her eyes out, Emily said YES! Well if that’s not a southern love story fairytale, I don’t know what is!!

Now they are planning their wedding for next June and I’m the lucky girl who gets to photograph it! For their engagement session, we went to the Botanical Gardens in Athens, which is always a stellar choice, as you will see! God blessed us with the yummiest golden hour light and I’m so happy with how their photos came out! ENJOY!
