When Lacey first emailed me to inquire about photographing her wedding, the very first thing she said was “I’m marrying the sweetest man in the world!” I can’t tell you how much this touched my heart! Typically the very first thing I hear about is the wedding (which is TOTALLY understandable!), but I just thought it was very special that she first wanted to gush about her fiance before she even did about her wedding! And I can totally see why! Even though I only spent a small amount of time with them during their engagement session, I could tell right away what she was talking about – Justin has some very loving qualities that every gal dreams of finding in a man, treating her with such tenderness and affection. It made my job SO easy! All I had to do was think about good light and composition, then place them in that and their romantic interactions between each other basically did the rest!

And of course I just have to share about how he proposed! It’s such a good story! They had been dating throughout college and last summer their families decided to all take a big family vacation together to Florida. It was a very special time for them, as they were working summer jobs in different states and hadn’t seen each other in seven weeks. The family had a photographer come and take family photos of them all together down by the beach. When all of the family photos were done, the photographer suggested to take a few more candid photos of them together as a couple closer to the shoreline. And as they got to the waves, Justin got down on one knee and asked Lacey to spend her life with him! How romantic, huh?!

Lacey and Justin, I’m so incredibly thankful you have chosen me to document this important season of your life!! I absolutely cannot wait for your wedding this June!!
