In the summer of 2018, both of these southerners (Jordan from Georgia and Jacob from Tennessee) found themselves on the same church planting team up in Boston. As they spent the summer around each other, bonded through their common faith and life pursuits, they got to know each other very well and became great friends. At first, Jordan did not see Jacob as anything other than just that… a friend. Jacob had different plans for their relationship, however, and did not give up on winning this beautiful woman over! I mean, who can blame him, Jordan is one of the sweetest and most caring souls I’ve ever met! And not to mention gorgeous! Anyway…after the trip was over, Jacob made plans to come down to Georgia to visit Jordan and some other friends from the team. A man on a mission! At last, things clicked on both ends and the rest is history!

Then, one weekend in January when Jacob was in town visiting, they were going out to breakfast at Mama’s Boy. As they got out of the car, Jacob said “let’s take a walk”…. Jordan thought it was odd considering how cold it was and that the smell of homemade biscuits was luring them all inside – not outside! However, she quickly realized there may be a reason for this unusual request…and sure enough, there was! Jacob proposed and now they’ll be getting married this summer! Their relationship reminds me so much of that famous quote that says “when you realize who you want to spend the rest of your life with,  you want the rest of your life to start right away.” I couldn’t agree more and am so very happy for these two!
We were fortunate enough to do their engagement photos at the same location as their wedding will be, 9 Oaks Farm in Monroe, Georgia. It’s such a beautiful property there and I just loved how much variety we were able to get in their images. It was a VERY chilly afternoon (39 degrees when I checked!), but you would never know because these lovebirds just had so much fun together – we all had a blast and they made my job so easy! Jordan and Jacob, I just love you guys so much already and absolutely cannot wait for your wedding this July!!
