Caroline + Harrison | Botanical Gardens Engagement | Athens, Georgia

filed in

Since their first date was at a Braves Game (and it was the kind of date where they were glad when it went into extra innings so they had an excuse to spend even more time together!), Harrison knew the perfect place to ask Caroline to be his wife would be at the stadium. But when it was going to be empty, of course!….

Caroline had been eagerly hoping and expecting to get engaged for months, so was pretty much always on high alert! In an effort to throw her off, Harrison told her they were going to go on a special weekend trip to the mountains, so she was pretty certain he would propose then. The weekend before that “trip” said he wanted to take her to dinner and since he seemed a little nervous and was oddly interested in what she’d be wearing to dinner, she had a little bit of a hunch it may actually happen then. They went to The Battery and were just walking around having a good time. Suddenly, Harrison walked up to a guy working at the gate of the Braves Stadium and started joking about letting them into the empty stadium. Caroline thought that was ridiculous, but when the guy let them in, she realized what was about to happen 🙂 🙂 🙂 Harrison led her to the middle of the field, got down on one knee, and asked her to please spend the rest of her life with him! She said yes, and now they will be tying the knot this December!

For their engagement session, we went to the Athens Botanical Gardens, as Athens is Caroline’s hometown and also where they will be getting married at! We were blessed with the dreamiest, most gorgeous morning light that you can imagine! Combine that with this beautiful, sweet, and fun loving couple, and you have a recipe for some serious eye candy going on here folks!

Caroline + Harrison, you guys are just the best! Thank you so much for having me document this special season of your lives!! December can’t come soon enough!!
