Do you remember that weekend this October where a tropical storm made it’s way throughout the Southeast and it POURED rain, non-stop, no break whatsoever for well over 24 hours? It was Saturday, October 19th, and it was Bobbi and Alan’s wedding day. If you are a wedding vendor reading this, I know you are just nodding your head remembering where you were at that day, as it was literally the most popular day of the year to get married in our area and, let’s just say it was quite memorable!

Bobbi and Alan’s wedding took place at The Cotton Warehouse in Monroe, Georgia, but our saving grace for photos was actually The Sparrow Hill Inn a couple of blocks down! Bobbi decided to book a room there for her and her girls to stay at the night before and get ready at on the wedding day, long before she knew what the weather conditions were going to be. And let me tell you, I truly believe that was the Lord looking out for her that it all worked out because that little inn absolutely saved their portraits! The Cotton Warehouse is beautiful, as you will see, BUT, there is not much of a covered outside area to be able to use natural light at, which is critical to have on rainy wedding days! And not only did the inn have a spacious front porch, it had a tall roof and is a white building, which is a photographer’s dream! (The color white reflects the most beautiful light back onto it’s subjects, making you and your boo look ah-mazing!) Anyway…I don’t typically give this much technical talk in my blog posts, but I feel like this wedding will be a very helpful resource for future brides to see how a rainy wedding day isn’t something to panic over. I mean, just look at how stunning Bobbi and Alan’s wedding turned out to be!

Bobbi and Alan, it has been such a pleasure to get to know you two over the last year and serve you during this special season of your life! Thank you so much for being so wonderful to work with – we wish you a lifetime of all the happiness your hearts can handle!
