All it took was a mutual love for the band 311 to get Sarah and Scott together! When they found themselves tailgating with the same group of people at the concert, they hit it off immediately and the rest is history! After dating a while, Scott surprised her with a trip to Cabo…she hoped that he would propose during the trip, but had no idea if he would or not. Well, I’m happy to report that her dreams came true! One day during the trip they went on a 4 wheeling excursion and Scott asked her if she wanted to take a little walk to go see some of the views. (Side note: ladies, I hear it all the time…if your boyfriend randomly asks you to go on a “little walk”, you may just be about to get something sparkly, my dear! So many proposals start with a random little walk…heehee 😉 ) ANYWAY – lucky for them, there just so happened to be a photographer on the same excursion with them! Scott somehow managed to ask the photographer to capture what was about to happen (good call, Scott!)…he proposed and Sarah, completely shocked and so so happy, said YES! Now they are planning their wedding for this October at The Greystone Estate and I couldn’t be more excited to be their photographer!
We did their engagement photos at Piedmont Park in late November and, as always, the park did not disappoint! I love shooting there because the variety you can get in your images is absolutely endless and it was especially fun looking around for ways to incorporate what was left of the fall foliage. Sarah looked like an absolute angel! She also has the most sweet and kind spirit – it’s very easy to see why Scott fell for her right away! Enjoy looking through their dreamy photos!
