Based in Metrowest Boston, MA

The first few weeks at home with your new baby are a magical, fleeting, and exhausting blur. It's an honor to be invited in to someone's home during this intimate time to capture these early stages in your baby's life.

I am a Boston based newborn photographer, offering in-home lifestyle photography, which captures the connection between the family members and the newborn, who is photographed in poses that they naturally move into on their own.

During each session, my priority is creating a comfortable environment for both baby and parents. I understand the importance of patience and flexibility when working with newborns and I'll take the time to ensure that everyone feels relaxed and at ease throughout the process.

If you have your heart set on the baby sleeping during the session, I recommend booking your session for around 2-3 weeks after birth when they are still very sleepy. My style lends itself well to babies of all ages though! Many of my clients opt to have photos when the baby is 4-6 weeks, a little more filled out, and possibly throwing some smiles at us. There is no right or wrong!

How old should my baby be when we do the photos?

question ONE

My calendar typically books out at least 1-2 months in advance, so the sooner the better! But please don't hesitate to reach out anytime, even if you just had the baby. I will try to get you in if I can!

How far in advance should I schedule my session?

question TWO

As a mom of three children myself, I completely understand the unpredictability that comes with having a baby. When my clients schedule their session, we will pick a tentative date for the photos, but I am super flexible if you need to move the date for any reason. Don't stress about that, you have enough to think about already!

What if I need to reschedule my date?

question Three

Your beautifully edited gallery of photos will be delivered no later than three weeks after your session date (excluding holidays). If you need them sooner than that, I do offer rush services for an additional fee, based on my availability.

When do I get my photos?

Trust me, I hear this ALL the time! Don't worry, it's not your job to know what to do with posing - it's mine! I will gently direct you in to natural and flattering poses. Just sit back and enjoy the ride, it's going to be great!

I feel awkward in front of the camera and don't know what to do - do you pose us?

question FIVE

I do need window light to create the images you see in my work, but have yet to come across a home that I couldn't work with to create beautiful photos. There have been times I have done an entire session in one room that had the good light. Wearing light colored clothing and doing what you can to make the surroundings light colored (like white linens on a bed) help. We can chat more about this if you'd like to!

I love the light and bright look in your images, but am worried that my house is too dark or too small to achieve that look?

I most definitely can help with swaddling if you'd like for me to! Or if you'd rather do all the handling of the baby, that's great too. I will photograph the baby in natural positions that he or she moves in to on their own - I do not attempt to force them into any poses. I have a variety of swaddling blankets that I will bring that are very soft, stretchy and comfortable for baby if you would like to use any of those.

Do you help with swaddling or posing the baby?

question Seven

VIEW NEXT

No, not by any means! I know from experience what the newborn stage is like, so please do not feel stressed about having your entire home clean for the session. Please simply tidy up the areas you know you would like pictures in, especially near the window area. I often will help with moving things around too, if needed, and am more than happy to help.

Do I have to have my entire home spotlessly clean for photos?

question Eight

frequently asked questions

"Of all the things my hands have held, the best by far is you."

We had such a wonderful experience with Nicole - she’s such a pro and we couldn’t be more thrilled with our photos. She did an incredible job of maximizing the time with a somewhat fussy newborn, which is not an easy task! Would highly recommend her and will treasure these photos.
